WordPress Reading Settings

In this article, we will learn about the reading settings of WordPress like how to set the home page and how many pages should be shown, etc.

Steps for Reading Settings :

Click Settings->Reading option .To go to the reading option in WordPress, you will see the reading option when you hover the mouse cursor over the Setting option.

your Home Page Display: If you want to show the latest published post on the home page then you have to check on your latest posts option. If you want to show the article and content of a static page on the home page then you have to check on the A static page (select below) option.
If we want to make the Static page a home page, then from the drop-down we can select the home page of our website When you click on the static page, both the options (homepage, post page) will be highlighted and now you can select the page you want to make the home page from the dropdown option and also select the posting page from the post page.
Blog Post-show at most: From here you can set the number of posts to be displayed per page, by default, the number of posts displayed on each page is 10, you can increase or decrease it according to you.
Syndication feeds show the most recent This option lets you set how many blog posts you can send at once to the RSS feed that the user uses to access a site.
For each post in a feed, include As you can select full text or summary, if you select full text then the entire content will show in the feed and if you select summary then only 55 words will show in the article.
Search engine visibility This option is for search engine visibility, which means if you do not want to crawl your website from the search engine, then put this checkmark otherwise leave it unchecked.
After updating all the above settings according to you, to the bottom and click on save the change, which will save all your settings.
